Our Story – Tigercooncat Maine Coon Thailand
I started with a small dream — to have a companion in my life. This dream led me to create Tigercooncat Maine Coon Thailand, but it all began with just one cat. I had always dreamed of owning a beautiful Persian, and that dream came true when I met “Dollar,” a Maine Coon–Persian mix who instantly captured my heart. At that time, I knew very little about cats, and purebred cats were still rare in Thailand. But I didn’t hesitate — all I wanted was a true friend.
After bringing Dollar home, I began learning about Maine Coons because it was the first time I had ever heard the name of this breed. The seller told me that Dollar was a Persian–Maine Coon mix, which I had never known before.
Not long after, I decided to welcome “Harley,” my very first purebred Maine Coon. The difference between them was striking. Dollar had the proud and independent personality of a Persian, even with some Maine Coon blood in her. Harley, on the other hand, was gentle, affectionate, playful, and loved by everyone.
As Harley grew, so did our bond. He became a handsome and elegant Maine Coon who opened up a whole new world for me — joining events, meeting people, and bringing smiles wherever he went. Before long, I found him a companion — a purebred Maine Coon female named “Haru,” who was just as gentle and friendly as Harley. This only confirmed my belief that the Maine Coon breed is truly special for its sweet temperament, gentleness, and playful nature.
I wanted to raise a litter from them, and when their kittens were born, they inherited both their parents’ looks and charming personalities. They were so adorable that many people wanted to take them home, but at first, I was too attached to let them go.
Soon, I began seriously considering starting a cattery — to share the beauty and charm of these cats with others who loved them as much as I did. Because I don’t have children, caring for my cats brings me the greatest joy. But when they grow up, I must find them warm and loving forever homes — homes that will love and care for them for life.
From a small dream, Tigercooncat Maine Coon Thailand was born — a cattery dedicated to breeding high-quality Maine Coons to be cherished family members, not just for breeding purposes, and to share the unique beauty and personality of this breed with cat lovers everywhere.
From the very beginning, my goal with Tigercooncat Maine Coon Thailand has been to maintain a high standard in breeding — not only in terms of appearance, but also health, temperament, and socialization. All of my breeding cats are health-tested for genetic conditions such as HCM and PK deficiency. Kittens are raised in a home environment, surrounded by love and daily care, so they grow up confident and well-adjusted.
One of my greatest passions has been showing Maine Coons in cat competitions. Through cat shows, I have had the opportunity to showcase the beauty and gentle nature of my cats to judges and fellow breeders around the world. These experiences have brought recognition to Tigercooncat Maine Coon Thailand as one of the earlier catteries in the country to uphold international standards.
I have always believed that cats should be cherished as family members above all else. While many breeders focus on producing kittens for breeding programs, my priority is finding homes where they will receive unconditional love and care. This is why I only allow my kittens to go to homes that can provide them with a safe, happy, and loving environment. At Tigercooncat Maine Coon Thailand, the well-being of my cats will always come before commercial goals.
